We have responsibility for managing over 1300 acres of land in a sustainable way. This includes the felling of mature timber, replanting in a sustainable way and managing land above the current tree line. We are currently developing a long term sustainable vision for the forest and the land.
How we manage the land
WELCOME TO KILFINAN COMMUNITY FOREST
A woodland social enterprise
A PLACE TO HELP & GROW
Our community forest brings people together to enjoy, learn, and care for nature. KCFC is a social enterprise that manages the woodland sustainably while supporting local jobs and businesses.
Volunteering at a our forest with tree planting and woodland maintenance is a rewarding way to support the environment while giving back to the local area.
Lend a hand
There is a community composting facility on site, part funded by Argyle and Bute council. The facilities are open 24 hours, but there are not always staff on site. If you require assistance, or need to bring a large amount of garden waste, please get in touch with us first.
